All change... 09/11/2010
Last night I had a dream. I was wandering in a desert and it was hot, there was nowhere to hide and not a drop to drink [this isn't about beer]. I walked until I could walk no further and came to rest at an oasis. All was lost. And then came the voice... and the voice whispered; "if you book them they will come"... I looked up into the blinding sun and there before me was Ken Morrison... or was it Jim? Anyway, he then handed me a cold beer and told me this. "Follow your dream and build your brewery, but take my advice. If you call your brewery 'Kendall' the people will travel to Kendal in search of your ale... get yourself a proper name, something local and close to your heart". I finished my beer and turned to ask Ken/Jim what I should name it, but he was gone.
I woke early this morning and brushed the sand from my hair. Was it a dream? if it was then how could I explain the sand? and then it hit me... I had been sanding my bedroom floor with a loaned industrial sander from Broadford Tool Hire, and the answer was staring me in the face. It's local, it's close to my heart and I have booked it [on Weebly]. Thank you Mr Morrison.
(P.s. "The name Bradford is derived from the "broad ford" at Church Bank (below the site of Bradford Cathedral) around which a settlement had begun to appear before the time of the Norman Conquest ("Bradeford" in the Domesday book of 1086). The ford crossed the stream called Bradford Beck" (Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bradford).
There is method in my madness.
